Max Leon Strikes out 17!


 On July 8, Max Leon of the Atlanta Braves made the most of his first start of the 1974 season by striking out 17 batters in an 11-1 Braves victory. Leon struck out every non-pitcher at least once (including pinch hitters). None of the Pittsburgh got a chance to hit in the 11-1 laugher.

      Full name is Maximino Leon. He pitched for the Braves from 1973 to 1978. The 1974 season was his best year. He was mostly a reliever and started only two games that year. He went to the Mexican League in 1979.
